CWNE GCK withdrawable low voltage switchgear assembly

Why Choose CWNE Low Voltage Switchgear

The panels are the visible part of an assembly; the components inside decide how it behaves. CWNE builds the LV assembly and produces the devices inside it — air circuit breakers, moulded case and miniature circuit breakers, isolators, fuses and the busbar system — so the bill of materials is not a patchwork of brands.

  • Fixed and withdrawable: GGD fixed assemblies, GCK and GCS withdrawable modules, MNS and BlokSeT type modular systems.
  • Up to 6300 A: main busbars sized for the incoming device rather than a catalogue default.
  • Motor control: GCK and GCS drawers for direct-on-line, star-delta, soft start and variable speed starters.
  • Compensation and DC systems: GGJ capacitor compensation panels and GZDW DC supply panels.
  • Distribution boxes: XL and XM enclosures and DPF01 distribution boards for final distribution.

Where CWNE Low Voltage Assemblies Are Used

Low Voltage Switchgear FAQ

What is the difference between GGD, GCK and GCS?

GGD is a fixed assembly with a single front and is the economical choice where circuits rarely change. GCK and GCS are withdrawable assemblies: each functional unit can be isolated and removed without shutting down the board, which suits motor control centres and continuous processes.

What is the maximum current of your LV assemblies?

Main busbars are built up to 6300 A, matched to the air circuit breaker selected for the incoming. The final rating depends on the panel type, the short-circuit level and the form of separation.

Are the circuit breakers inside the panel also your products?

Yes. Air circuit breakers up to 6300 A, moulded case circuit breakers up to 800 A, miniature circuit breakers up to 125 A, isolators up to 4000 A, NH fuses and the busbar system are all CWNE products, which keeps the bill of materials and the spare parts with one supplier.

Which standard are the assemblies built to?

The assemblies are designed and type verified to IEC 61439-2 and GB 7251, with the rated diversity factor applied to the busbar and the outgoing ways and the temperature rise verified for the installed configuration.

Can you supply compensation and DC panels with the main board?

Yes. GGJ capacitor compensation panels and GZDW DC supply panels are built in the same workshop and can be supplied as one package with the main distribution board.

Do you build to a specified platform such as MNS or BlokSeT?

Yes. Where a project is specified around the MNS, BlokSeT, PrismaE or MVNEX platform, the assembly is built to that construction, with CWNE components inside.

Designed to IEC 61439-2

Assemblies are designed and type verified to IEC 61439-2 and GB 7251, with the rated diversity factor applied to the busbar and the outgoing ways, and with the temperature rise verified for the installed configuration.

Withdrawable modules where maintenance matters

In GCK, GCS, MNS and BlokSeT assemblies a functional unit can be isolated, withdrawn and replaced without shutting down the whole board, with mechanical interlocking between the breaker position and the door.

Components from one factory

ACBs up to 6300 A, MCCBs up to 800 A, MCBs up to 125 A, isolators up to 4000 A, NH fuses and the busbar system are CWNE products, which keeps lead times and spare parts under one supplier.

1. Start from the load schedule

Incoming current, number of outgoing ways, motor ratings and diversity. The incoming device and the busbar are selected from this data, not from the panel type alone.

2. Choose fixed or withdrawable

  • Fixed (GGD): lower cost, simplest construction, suitable where circuits are rarely changed.
  • Withdrawable (GCK, GCS, MNS, BlokSeT): a functional unit can be replaced without a shutdown — the right choice for continuous processes.

3. Define the short-circuit and protection coordination

State the prospective short-circuit current at the incoming and at each distribution level, and whether discrimination between incoming and outgoing devices must be selective.

4. Agree the form of separation and the IP rating

Form 2, 3 or 4 separation, IP31 to IP54, cable entry from top or bottom, and the installation location all change the structure and must be stated before manufacture.
