Description
The WM1EL is a residual current operated circuit breaker that combines a residual current relay, a contactor and a moulded case circuit breaker in one device, for three-phase four-wire, neutral-grounded supply systems. Combining the three functions reduces panel space and wiring compared with separate devices.
Protection
- Earth-fault (residual current) protection for circuits and equipment.
- Overcurrent and short-circuit protection.
- Phase-loss and overvoltage protection.
- Indirect-contact protection against electric shock.
Where it fits
- Three-phase four-wire, neutral-grounded distribution systems.
- Industrial, commercial and infrastructure panels where combined protection saves space.
- Installations needing earth-fault protection as well as overcurrent protection.
Selection and ordering
Confirm the system type (three-phase four-wire, neutral grounded), the load current, the residual current sensitivity and the required pole configuration. We will confirm the correct model and provide a quotation.
FAQ
What makes the WM1EL different from a standard breaker?
It combines a residual current relay, a contactor and a moulded case circuit breaker in one device, protecting against earth faults as well as overcurrent, short circuit, phase loss and overvoltage.
Which systems is it designed for?
Three-phase four-wire, neutral-grounded supply systems.
Does it protect against electric shock?
It provides indirect-contact protection against the risk of electric shock, along with earth-fault and fire-hazard protection.
